Prerequisites:

• A web browser based on Chromium (Arc, Google Chrome)
• A crypto wallet (I use Coinbase Wallet, but any wallet will do). Coinbase Wallet should have apps for iOS and Android.
• Ethereum in your wallet. An amount that you’re comfortable with donating!

Creating or retrieving your wallet on Metamask

1. Download Metamask - Wallet for Chromium (https://metamask.io/download/)

2. You need to create a wallet (if you don’t have one) or access your wallet (if you previously connected it to MetaMask).

If you already have a wallet, you should have a 12-word (sometimes 16, 20, 24 word phrase, depending on how secure you are) secret recovery phrase which you can sync your wallet to. If not, you’ll need to create a wallet and connect it to Metamask.

Opening the Gitcoin Donation Site for Akiya Collective

1. Click this link to open the Gitcoin matching for Akiya (https://explorer.gitcoin.co/?utm_source=grants.gitcoin.co&utm_medium=internal_link&utm_campaign=gg19&utm_content=community-rounds#/round/10/44/65)

2. At the top right of the page, you'll see a button to Connect your wallet. You need to do this so you can transfer crypto to donate to the project.

   

3. Select Metamask because that's what we just installed. A pop up will come up where you can select the wallet that you created from within Metamask.

4. You’ll need to confirm connecting your existing Metamask wallet to Gitcoin. Click Next and follow the prompts until the wallet is connected.
