tracking different people we want to bring in
Target community:
- artists / creatives
- builders + construction people
- Construction: ‣, ‣
- resident in permaculture / architectural design
- environmentalists
- farmers, refi, cottagecore
- japan enjoyers
- technologists
- apac web3
- digital nomads
- hackers
- solarpunk + anarchists
- People wanting to try a new lifestyle
- where to build something
- how to break free from the mold?
- like a retreat for exploring/discovering a new way of life
- Unless you grow up in SF or are fairly ND, it’s unlikely you’re going to stay dramatically far from the prescribed life path. We offer a welcoming space for anyone to come and explore freely
- community / retreat organizers (depends on if we want to monetize this way)
- investors, financial supporters
Logistically, we'd need:
- someone on the ground in Japan who understands real estate
- connections with the local gov't to ensure we can do whatever there
- scout widely to find a location near-ish to a city/airport (within 2 hours)
- someone who understands Japanese taxes
- connections with a local remodeling firm to fix up the houses
- at least 2-3 Japanese citizens willing/able to live there full-time for at least 3-5 years
- Community manager who’s ran large hacker houses/communities (I know a few folks who fit this description)
