product offerings
- create open-source playbook for akiya revitalization: Akiya Operational Playbook
- shared information for people to learn not only how to operationally / logistically get an akiya, but to discover co-owners, potential places that we already have our community network in, how to integrate well w neighbors (ie daily practices), and renovation tips
- local workshops: connective points between locals and foreigners
- we need to show how we can add value to the local community and allow for more integration opportunities
- how do we exchange values we have, create a place where conversations and skills can be shared, and ultimately learn together
- art installations: creating case studies for how akiyas can be transformed into something cool
- if successful in creating these, we could also donate a certain portion of ticket costs / renting costs to the local town (or use the funds we get → akiya renovation fund, so we can help fund other akiya renovation projects)
- created via build week / smaller residencies focused on certain goal
- residencies: soft landing pad for potential people to experience rural japan, and get to know the inaka life before fully committing
- previous ones we have done: Residencies
- maybe this transitions to people who have previously contributed something, getting to stay for free
- digital co-op: allow for people around the world to contribute digital talent / financial resources to help fund revitalization of akiya around certain towns, even if they are not physically present
